Local Dogs - something to bark about!
Haltwhistle is Something Specialist - first exhibition launch
Saturday 26th March 10am - 12 noon
Waiting room on platform 1 (Newcastle bound trains),
Haltwhistle Station.
All welcome

Join Tyne Valley Community Partnership in celebrating the refurbishment of the waiting room complete with our exhibition on dogs with special connections to the local area.

This first HISS exhibition has been delayed for some years(!) whilst the waiting room was upgraded. The result is certainly splendid - welcoming waiting areas and compact studios available for rent to local entrepreneurs - and all very much in keeping with the heritage of railway architecture. Outside of this launch event the exhibition can be viewed anytime - you don't have to be catching a train to visit the waiting room!

We plan to mount a second exhibition later in the year on local history in line with the 1900th Anniversary Hadrian's Wall Festival. Volunteer researchers, writers and artists/photographers needed. Do get in touch or speak to Julie or Sue at the event.

Eco Fair - free domestic energy advice available
We held a successful Eco Fair on Sat 19th March with lots of ideas for saving money, energy and the planet. Did you know you can get free energy advice, to help you save money and keep cosy at home, from Community Action Northumberland?
Contact Leanne leanneshipley@ca-north.co.uk 0772 4867010
Leanne, or her colleague Myra, will visit you at home and besides offering free advice will be able to install simple things, like LED light bulbs and draught excluder strips, again for free to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
(Only for residents of Northumberland).

Haltwhistle Growing together
Two great events coming up very soon. Both are completely free to attend - including lunch! - but you need to reserve your place.
